Fall Wreath

(this post contains affiliate links)

Remember last week when I said it’s starting to feel like Fall here?

(if you missed it, you can read about it HERE)

Well, that didn’t last long.

Today,

it’s 98 degrees in Southern California

and it feels more like the surface of the sun

than frost on the pumpkins!

So I cranked up the fans

and made a Fall wreath anyway!

I used a grapevine wreath, faux pampas grass, dried eucalyptus, dried wheat and twigs.

To get the most pampas grass for my buck, I used a garland and just pulled the bundles off.

To begin, I attached the pampas grass to the grapevine wreath.

I found it was easiest to tuck it into the grapevine wreath and then hit it with a spot of hot glue

instead of trying to glue it first, and then stick it in.

Next I added dried eucalyptus evenly around the wreath.

I tucked it in and then put a little hot glue on it to hold it in place.

Then I cut the wheat to 4 - 5 inch lengths

and tucked bundles of 3 or 4 stalks into the wreath, gluing as I went.

Then the final touch was to add some twigs for contrast.

And that’s all there is to it!

This Fall wreath is subtle

and I love how it blends with my decor!
