Wait Until You See These Painted Furniture Before And After Ideas

(this post contains affiliate links)

I’ve never met a piece of furniture I didn’t want to paint

What can I say?

Painted furniture is my jam…

Chalk paint, distressed chalk paint, milk paint, chippy vintage paint — all of it!

WHITE

Although I have a buffet that’s going to be bound for a coat of gray Mineral Fusion paint here in the near future!

Several people have commented about a cute little table from my last post so I thought it would be fun to show you some of the many pieces that have been at the mercy of my paintbrush lately

This is the little table before (Actually I think it’s a plant stand. It belonged to my mother-in-law)

Cute shape but I really wasn’t loving the oak

So I did this

I whitewashed the top and painted the legs

What a difference huh?

And there’s a lot more!

From this….

My desk used to look like this…

But a little paint, some base molding and a new top and now I have this

When I needed something on my side of the bed, I took this…

And with a little chalk paint and some sandpaper, I got this

This is one of my favorite painted pieces

It’s a pine dresser that had turned orange as pine will often do. This was the first time I ever used chalk paint. I don’t have a before because I did it before I started blogging

Once I saw the transformation I was hooked

And I never looked back

I’ve painted everything from picture frames…

To books…

To accessories

To lamp shades

And I’m here to tell you

If you don’t like something you have

Or the color doesn’t appeal to you anymore

Don’t be afraid to put a coat of paint on it

You might just end up loving it!
