How To Create A Cozy Room

There’s been just a little bit of coolness in the morning air these days.

For us, being in a coastal town in So Cal, that usually comes from the marine layer (fog).

But a couple of days ago, it actually rained for 3 minutes!

(which hardly ever happens here!)

So now I’m really ready to cozy up my bedroom!

And you know, it doesn’t take that much to create a cozy room

All you need are a few key pieces

And you’re good to go!

So here are some of my favorite ways to add a super comfy feel to your bedroom :

DOUBLE-STUFF YOUR DUVET COVER

Put two down or down-alternative fills inside your duvet cover.

This will make your bed so super lofty and cozy looking you’ll want to just snuggle right into it. Not to mention it’ll give you extra warmth for the chilly nights ahead.

COZY THROWS

Nothing says ‘cozy room’ like throws and blankets

Just toss a textured throw on your bed, chair or sofa and you’ve just added a ton of warmth to the room.

And they’re right there waiting for you to snuggle up on a chilly Fall night

Or display all your throws, blankets and comforters to add tons of softness and warmth to your decor

You can use an armoire or a hutch or an open cabinet or even a bookshelf to display your blankets, pillows and comforters
